Upgrades:
- Handbuilt Wheels (by Gus) with Suzue 40H sealed bearing hubs, Wheelwright plain gauge spokes with brass washers, extra long spoke nipples and Mavic Module 4 rims.
- V Brake at rear for increased stopping power.
- Drag brake controlled through Suntour retrofriction gear lever on Steersman's handlebars. This controls an Arai drum brake which is used during long downhill descents where a rim brake might overheat the tyre and possibly cause it to explode.
- New bars and A-head stems to accommodate different seating positions. Wider stoker bars with dummy lever hoods. Double bar tape on upper portions of bars for padding.
- Shimano bar end gear levers.
- Blackburn carriers front and rear
- Sanyo Dynapower bottom bracket dynamo with halogen light to front and mudguard mounted light to rear
- Shimano SPD clipless pedals
